Youth Parliament
The Parliament is a forum where people with additional needs are elected by their peers to speak up for them.
Hi, I'm Keiron Whall and I'm the Youth Parliament Project worker based in the Out & About offices in Ipswich. |

The Young Voices Youth Parliament is for young people aged 14-19 years old in Suffolk with additional needs and is a joint project run in partnership between Out & About and Voiceability.
The MPs meet with decision-makers to talk about issues which they feel are important. The forum exists to influence positive change in services and enable young people to gain such skills as speaking up for themselves and others, presentation skills, confidence and self esteem building, challenging professionals about issues for young people and therefore improving services. You can read the minutes from the last meeting here.
We currently have 18 Youth MP’s from all around Suffolk, in various schools, colleges and youth clubs.
You can be involved by becoming a Parliament Pal, which means you will be sent newsletters, consulted on the current topic under discussion and have the chance to let us know your views and issues. Click here to read the steering group's latest newsletters.
Alternatively if you feel that your school, college or youth club could benefit from involvement in the Young Voices Youth Parliament, please email me or call me on 01473 839240.
