Disability Hate Crime Awareness Workshop

Out & About has been commissioned by Ipswich and Suffolk Council for Racial Equality (ISCRE) to deliver training in order to raise awareness of disability related hate crime.

These free workshops are a great opportunity for you and/ or your organisation to network with other people, share ideas about how to stop harassment, and effectively support disabled people. Workshops can also be organised and delivered to individual organisations.

Aims of the workshop

  • To raise awareness of disability hate crime
  • To recognise the effects of disability hate crime
  • To understand what you can do
  • Introduce regional services and information

Who should attend?

  • Those who work directly with children and young people, disabled or non-disabled, in a variety of leisure settings including holiday play schemes, leisure centres, uniformed groups, sports, arts and youth clubs.
  • Professionals who work with disabled children and young people and their families. Anyone in the private, public and voluntary sectors who has a vested interest in learning more about disability hate crime.

Cost:

No charge.
