What training and support will I get as a volunteer?
Volunteers have always been crucial to our success and remain a vital part of our organisation. The high value we place on our volunteers is reflected in our programme of professional training which, when completed, we hope will provide a skilled pool of committed volunteers ready to match to our service users. This preparation and on-going support helps to ensure that your experience of volunteering will be enjoyable and rewarding.
As well as our Induction training package which every volunteer undertakes we also offer training in the following subjects;
- Safeguarding children
- Manual handling
- Autism awareness
- Epilepsy awareness
- Communication skills
Once you begin volunteering with us, you will have full support from our highly trained staff who will ensure you are happy with what you are doing at all times.
