Out & About Team Leader, Fiona Farrell, along with friends Ali Clarke & Helen Skinner have become the self-titled "Biking Birds" for a cycling challenge they’ve set themselves which will raise funds for Out & About.

They are currently training so that they can cycle 60 miles from Out & About head office in Claydon to Out & About's Lowestoft office; guided through Suffolk along a coastal route by Margaret & Philip Hancock, who have both worked and volunteered with Out & About in the past.  Fiona explains,

"I’ve managed to rope Ali & Helen in to this.  They're faster than me at the moment so my own personal challenge for now is to keep up with them on our training rides!  We each enjoy cycling but have never attempted  60 miles or anything close to that, so this is a huge goal and one that we are determined to reach."

Their challenge, which takes place on 13th June, will raise funds to support disabled children and young people in local leisure activities and the group are looking for sponsorship to encourage them along the way.  It's easy to sponsor Fiona and the girls online, just click here to see their page.
